Teaching Experience
I taught for 11.5 years at Vasquez High School in Acton, CA before moving here to Golden Valley.
At Vasquez, I was able to teach all levels of Spanish as well as work as the Electives/World Language Department Chair, Instructional Coach, and WASC Coordinator. I also served as the advisor for cheer, dance, and yearbook. I started here at GV for the 2014-2015 school year. I am the WL Department Chair and the Instructional Coach. This year I will be teaching Spanish 1 and 2. Fort Lewis College-Durango, CO
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. I was on this campus for three of my four years, but I spent my junior year abroad in the Basque Country in Northern Spain.

Catalina Sea Camp-Catalina Island, CA
The educational experience that I give the most credit to, is my 10 year summer camp career that really shaped me into the person that I am today. I worked as counselor, moved to the dive staff where I taught underwater photography and underwater videography, and ended up serving as the
Assistant Dive Director and Lifeguard Instructor. Chapman University-Orange, CA
I earned my Master's Degree in Education: Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University. I was fortunate to have done my program during the beginning of the Common Core movement and learned a lot about the proposed purpose and standards behind it.
